3rd NetworkONE Reception
Held on 13 Mar 2008 at the Vanda Ballroom in Marina Mandarin, the 3rd NetworkONE Reception aimed to match students graduating in May 2008 with prospective maritime employers. A total of 95 industry representatives and 120 graduating students from NUS, NTU and SMU were present to discuss the career opportunities available in the maritime industry.
Also launched at the Reception was the maritime careers website, www.maritimecareers.com.sg. Designed to provide information on maritime careers and education, this website also serves as a matchmaker between maritime companies with job vacancies and jobseekers eager to enter the industry. With information on Singapore's maritime industry and wide variety of careers available, the website is a useful tool for those interested in finding out more about the industry.
The NetworkONE Receptions are organised as a part of the MaritimeONE initiative by the Association of Singapore Marine Industries (ASMI) in collaboration with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) and the Singapore Shipping Association (SSA).
