Launch of MENDAKI Social Enterprise Network Pte Ltd (“SENSE”) Outreach Programme

 

23 January 2014 marked SENSE’s official Launch of Careers @Maritime at the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club, which was graced by Guest-of-Honor Mr Hawazi Daipi, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Education and Manpower.

 

The Maritime Sector spans across many skills requirements, job possibilities, choice of working hours and time commitment, salary range and diverse job types. There are also many sub-sectors that support the maritime industry including financing, insurance, legal aides, accounting among others. To assist SENSE in the better understanding of the Maritime Sector, a steering committee of passionate and dedicated industry experts has been formed to collaborate with SENSE.

 

The committee consists of representatives from the four sectors; (Port Limit) lecturers from the Singapore Maritime Academy, (Special limit) Officers working with Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and PSA Marine Pte Ltd , (Offshore & foreign going) Bourbon Offshore, Bourbon Offshore Asia and AET Ship Management and (Maritime support services) Posh Semco Pte Ltd and ABS Consulting Pte Ltd
