During the session, Dr Stopford provided interesting insights and perspectives on his views of the maritime industry. When asked what excites him about the maritime industry till today, he replied with three reasons. First, he liked that the maritime industry is a community where a common culture is shared. Second, it has a historical value which gives a great sense of purpose. Third, it is a profitable business.
Students had an opportunity to interact with Dr Stopford during the reception at the end of the talk.
